Well like so many other producers I spend time daily looking for my content out on the web where others have taken it upon themselves to publish it without my permission and without compensating me for using it.
Luckily I have had only a few instances where my product was splattered all over the internet, and those had my watermark so worst case scenario I got advertising from it and when I notified the site they were posted to they were immediately pulled.
But this morning while doing my normal search of tube sites for my videos I came across one of my best selling clips posted by another company. In fact they were even so bold as to crop my watermark off and put theirs on as if they were the owners of the content. It’s a MILF scene that I shot and one of my top selling videos. And to add insult to injury the video is still up on the tube site after notifying the site 16 hours ago. Now my top selling video has been viewed over 30 thousand times.
I want to say that taking another person’s work and sharing it freely is low. How would each person out there feel if you worked hard all week and when you went in to get your paycheck for all the time and effort you put in to get to payday you found out that someone else came in, took credit for all your work and walked out with your check..
Bet you wouldn’t be very happy about it would you. Then why do you think it’s just fine to do that to the producers and performers. Because when you take our content and blast it across the internet you’re doing nothing more than taking credit for the production and worse than that your stealing not only from me but also from the performers.
You don’t think about the amount of time and MONEY that goes into a production. Models and performers are paid for their modeling or performance by we the producers. We the producers put out fees for the modeling session or performance, we have cost for locations, we have cost for equipment. We put our time and creativity in producing a high quality product.
The models and performers don’t come and work for us just because they enjoy what they do. Sets aren’t free to us. the camera and lighting manufacturers don’t send us free shit just because were great people. No this all costs money and there seems to be a lot of people out there that seem to not get that part of the business.
As a producer I put the money out to create the product. My reward is that it is my product, I own it and in THEORY no one can use or distribute it without my expressed permission and without me being properly compensated for that use.
But we have a problem. We have fans that think it’s OK to post our work all over the internet and share with everyone the photos and videos that they love.. Not Cool. That’s a situation where not only are you not supporting the performers that you profess to love but your taking their livelihood away from them. By sharing all this content, ILLEGALLY I MIGHT ADD, a performer becomes over saturated and thus they become a performer that does not sell and producers stop hiring them.. Why? Because people don’t think about the consequences of stealing the content and sharing it all over the internet.
Now we come to the companies and websites that obviously think it’s just fine to steal a legitimate producer’s product and pass it off as their own, whether as part of their pay site, or to spread it across the internet to promote their site. You are the leaches of the industry. You are stealing from another producer in order to make money for yourself rather than being honorable and producing your own content and using your paid for content to promote your site.. As for the tube sites you are nothing more than sites that promote the theft of content in order for you to have traffic and thus make money and you making your money by facilitating people with a place to post their stolen content..
I as an honest producer who pays to produce my content have to say that those of you that steal the content and the tube sites that facilitate that theft are nothing more than second class thieves and I hope the honest people in the industry will eventually join together to financially destroy you.
